ok, he didnt win. i was lucky to be able to watch him live. i went back home for lunch and there he was, sitting, smiling and did a standing ovation for whitaker. i brought back home a colleague and for 5 minutes, i juz ignored her. i wanted to look at his expression when the winner was announced.
oh yeah, he did practice like he said he would.
but the departed won for best picture.
that's not original, yeah?
i know leonardo will win one day.
he juz needs another killer award-winning role.

it means a lot to me after so many years, u ppl still remember.

at the moment, i'm waiting in anticipation, the result of oscar's best actor. too bad i cant watch leonardo live but ive forced mum to stay glued in front of the tv. i'm not a big fan of the oscars but for leonardo, i'll make an exception. he even practiced on how to react if he didnt win.
in the departed, my dad hated matt damon's character so much that he said, the character resembled m***. no prize in guessing, though. but i have a soft spot for the bzbods, so if u want to know, pls email me.

on a lighter note, rania is a picky eater and ive tried everything i could to make her eat. so when my brother mentioned that 'rania dah kurus', she asked my brother,
"princess kurus ke gemuk, cuba cakap."
how can u answer such questions?

finally, i managed to watch 'the departed' and 'blood diamond.'
i can watch departed for another 100 times but blood diamond? one time is enuf for me.

a much-needed break

the Chinese new year's holiday was a much needed break for me.
my schedule was so hectic that i was counting the days to the much-awaited break.
in a way, the hectic schedule produced good outcome (wang besar, wang besar) but at the same time, i juz didnt have the energy by the end of the day.
well, u cant have both ways.

the other day, i was browsing thru my phone and one by one, i deleted numbers that i considered as 'toxic.' come to think of it, u tried to hang on to it for as long as u could remember but then, there was no action. so, why bother?
i used to be optimistic but not anymore.
and u think they had u in mind...?
i have learned to accept things that are beyond my control. no doubt i can pursue the matter but then, i can also learn from it.
why should i care when ppl dont care bout each other anymore.

i was stopped by a traffic police early this morning.
Reason : shiny plate number.
well, i did tell him that i wasnt the only one. ( trying to justify my small crime here )
it's true that there are so many cars with shiny plate number but do i have to be one of the followers?
of course not.
oklah abang polis, petang ni jugak saya tukar.

but why oh why, didnt they ban the shiny plate number thingy in the first place?

eversince i started this blog, ive realised that ive written bout quite a number of ppl whom i dislike. and not once i wrote bout ppl whom i like. not that i want to write it now but i juz cant think of anybody right now.

during dinner last nite, my husband received a call from a regular customer whom i think would be miserable if he didnt complain regularly. it was his mistake but he wanted to make a big fuss bout it. yeah, yeah, what's d big deal. well, this person lives in an up-market residential area and he made a big fuss over RM 1.00. and i juz cant take it when my husband apologised to him. (now i know why i cant work with ppl)

to this mr k.s. teo (k.s. stands for kiah su), pls stop making other ppl's lives miserable. enuf with us having to tolerate ur miserable life, juz dont drag other ppl into it.

sometimes i think the company gives in too much to the customers' demands.

especially those who thinks more money gives them the right to step on others.
