a cry in the dark

after watching a movie last nite, i vow not to spread any rumours, be it true or untrue. a cry in the dark is based upon a true story. a mother of 3 was jailed for 5 yrs because of untrue allegations, which was the result of untrue rumours.

it happened in ayers rock, australia. her 3rd baby, azaria, was eaten by a dingo. they didnt find any body part, all they could find was her clothes. to me, the most painful experience that the mother must have felt was when ppl accused her of murdering her own child, without knowing the fact that she loved children so much. since the family was quite religious (the husband was a pastor), ppl thot azaria needs to be 'sacrificed' in the dessert. apparently, that's the meaning of 'azaria'. imagine facing the negative criticism from all australians for something u didnt even commit. i mean, even if the family wanted to make up stories, they must have had really, really outstanding imagination.

for me, the pain was more on when the mother was jailed and she had to give birth in prison, and she had only one hour to spend with the newborn. i cant picture any worse situation beyond that.

then, after 5 yrs, the govt let her out after finding a crucial evidence that cleared her name.

all sorts of rumours being spreaded out during that time. it was unbelievable.

to qoute some, 'kalau takde angin masakan pokok bergoyang.'

and u know what KJ said?

"MONYET YG GOYANGKAN."

sad to say, but, i may hafta agree with him on this.
