ayaan hirsi ali part II

before i burn the book of ayaan hirsi ali, i juz want to highlight what she said.

1. for the 9/11 attack, she said, ppl shouldnt be questioning osama, but should be questioning prophet muhammad. why? because he was the moral guide.
(ok, what a moronic solution.)

2. she said, for centuries, muslims had been behaving as though all knowledge was in the quran, refusing to question anything, refusing to PROGRESS. (my question is to her; u r comparing progress with what actually? between which countries? ur somalia? u obviously havent been to malaysia)

3. she said, muslims had been hiding from reason for so long bcoz we were incapable of facing up to the need to integrate it into our beliefs. (makcik; i think u r talking about YOUR beliefs, not ours).

4. she said, it wasnt working anymore. it was leading to hideous pain and MONSTROUS pain. (can anyone who follows the quran teaching please tell me if dis has ever happened to u?)

5. she said, by declaring our prophet infallible and not permitting ourselves to question him, we had set up a static tyranny. thus, we suppressed d freedom to think for ourselves and to act as we chose. (well, i dont see it that way. i dont think it limits our freedom. like i said, she's stating it on what basis?)

these last two, i really cant take it.

6. she said, we were not just servants of ALLAH, we were slaves.
(i think she didnt know the difference between those 2. not d direct translations, but what d quran actually says on being a loyal servant.)

7. she said, the quran is not a holy document. it is just a historical record, written by humans. it spreads a culture that is brutal, bigoted, fixated on controlling women and harsh in war.
(sigh....i just dont know where to start if i were to give my feedback...dis lady is totally clueless!)
